Standards:
ASME B1.20.1: NPT pipe threads ASME B16.11: Forged Fittings, Socket-Welding and Threaded ASTM A105: Standard Specification for Carbon Steel Forgings for Piping Applications (flanges, fittings, valves, and similar parts, for use in pressure systems at ambient and higher-temperature service conditions). Materials shall be subjected to heat treatment (annealing, normalizing, tempering, or quenching).
