Bending of metal
After laser cutting your metal, Synergy offers the option of directly bend your custom-cut sheet metal in one job. Bending is also known as setting or folding. In this metalworking technique, the metal is deformed to the desired angle.
We have Press Break Bending Machine
The bending machine is a machine with an upper die and a lower die. The sheet to be bent is placed between the top die and the bottom die. The top die presses the sheet against the bottom die, causing the sheet to deform. When the top die is brought all the way down and the sheet has been properly deformed, the top die is brought back up and returned to its initial position. The lower die always remains in the same position. Different dies can be fitted, depending on the desired operation.
Besides press break, we also offer Panel Bending. A panel bender is an automated machine that secures sheet metal with a counter blade and blank holder, using universal bending blades to fold the material without changing tooling. This versatility reduces downtime and increases efficiency. Unlike a press brake, which requires manual manipulation and multiple operators for large sheets, a panel bender uses a part manipulator to handle the material automatically. Sensors adjust for thickness, size, and temperature, ensuring precision and minimizing waste. Panel benders are two to three times faster than press brakes, offering superior speed, consistency, and repeatability.
For some products we also use robot folding which uses robotic arm with a conventional press break.
